Mahatma Gandhi very categorically emphasized that nature has everything to cater to the needs of all but cannot cater to the greed of anybody. This dictum has been proved beyond any reasonable doubt by the mad mankind in the name of its unquenched greed resulting in inundation of the environment to its hilt. Resultantly conservation of animal life and flora and fauna has turned out to be a huge challenge. It's easy to preach conservation and avoidance of cruelty to animals ensuring the protection of the environment for their habitation but very difficult to set a real-life inspiring example worthy of emulation by all concerned. AVI Foundation has laid from the front in first-person participation on the said count under the laudable initiative of Dr. Jerryl especially with reference to Tigers as a breed which is an example of its own type inspiring enough for all of us to follow suit and if not possible at least to fall in line. I deem it my privilege to be associated with AVI Foundation and with pleasure extend my heartfelt compliments and gratitude to Dr. Jerryl and the team for their most humane pursuit in the larger interest of environmental conservation so that earth continues to be a planet worthy of habitation of all lives in the true spirit of mutual co-existence.
